Director (m/f/d) „International Department“

Violence Prevention Network is one of Europe’s leading civil society organisations engaged in preventing and countering violent extremism. We work nationally and internationally, with over 120 practitioners, researchers and advisers in 10 regional offices across Germany and abroad. Our vision is an active involvement of civil society to bringing about positive change in preventing and countering violent extremism. Policy informed by practical experience: connecting first line practitioners – their expertise and voices – is the key for effective engagement. This is why we build whole-of-society partnerships to prevention, disengagement, deradicalisation, rehabilitation and reintegration. We facilitate mutual learning and eye-to-eye cooperation among government agencies, local stakeholders, schools, refugee centres, civil society organisations and many more. We support international, national and local stakeholders in developing effective multi-stakeholder work to address the challenges of violent extremism. We provide tailored advice, process support and trainings for civil society, law enforcement, prison and probation authorities, municipal institutions, health and social service providers to facilitate partnerships that respond to needs on the ground.

Regarding our international initiatives, we offer a full-time job in Berlin with monthly business trips within Europe and several intercontinental trips per year (esp. Central Asia, MENA region, North America).
